My Odyssey has died after 1 year and 5 months. It will not take a charge. So, no problem - right? After all it has a two year non-prorata warranty. Wrong. This is a materials and workmanship warranty. Basically, if it doesn't fall apart, it isn't covered. The manufacturer goes to great lengths to explain why the battery may have a shorter useful life, and thens says that if that life is less than 2 years - you are on your own. The fine print is a deliberate attempt to sell batteries claiming a 2 year warranty without actually offering anything near a two year warranty. If you read the fine print carefully, you could easily decide that there is effectively no warranty. They can always claim the battery came to the end of its life.
