The waterproof housing that comes in this package is HUGE! The pictures are intentionally misleading (I believe) in that they don't show the radio and the housing in true scale. Mounting on a motorcycle becomes a problem because of the size. Once I opened the packaging, I realized that it is actually made for marine use--I could see this on a boat, in fact that's where it may end up. For now, it's on the bike and it will work, but I don't think it would have worked if I'd tried to use the handlebar mount that came with it. I have a Goldwing that doesn't have conventional tubular handlebars, and I knew I would have to improvise the mount--I'm just glad that I wasn't trying to mount it conventionally, again because of its very large size. The next problem is that the mounting instructions that came with it were not right--they were for mounting a car unit. Didn't help me at all--although I guess I'd have to say they didn't hurt me since I was making up my own mount. There are several large gray rubbery pieces of various sizes that look like some kind of mounting bumpers for various applications--complete mystery.
Finally, there was no information on the radio itself, as far as activation, operation or program listings.
In fairness, the unit seems to be of excellent quality, and I will get satisfactory use of it--I'm just a little disappointed in the misleading/wrong/incomplete information attached to it.
Some additional information--apparently there was more information on the radio on the other side of the (wrong) installation sheet. I just didn't look because I only expected to see the same information in another language--that's the world we live in.
Also some clarification of "HUGE"--the radio measures about 4-1/2" wide by 2-1/2" high by about 1/2" deep. In comparison, the waterproof housing is about 7" wide by 5" high by 2-1/2" deep.
