Denso 280-0174 Remanufactured Starter Review

This starter was a perfect fit for my Avalon. My car started taking several turns of the key to finally engage the starter until one morning where the starter went out and the starter wouldn't disengage. That was a little scary.

You can buy a starter solenoid for about $90 at Napa, which was probably the problem. But I did not want to do this this job again, and who knows if something else with the starter went bad. Then I would have to buy a starter anyway.

Packaging was good and installation was fairly easy. My car started perfectly after installation. Remove the air filter housing if you have a older Avalon. That will make it possible to do this job. I would rate my mechanic skill at about a 6 out of 10 and it took me about 45 minutes from start to finish.

Don't get your hopes up by reading the instruction manual on how to install this thing, because it basically tells you disconnect the battery, remove old starter, install new starter and hookup battery.

Works great and sounds good (I read on other reviews that other (not Denso) manufactured starters sometimes sound funny)

Spectra Premium CU2805 Complete Radiator for Volvo Review

The price is absolutely right (or at least it was when I bought it), and we had no problems installing in my in-laws 2001 v70.

The only downside to these radiators is Volvo's fault and common to all radiators for this car: the mounts are part of the plastic side tanks and because mounting location is on a very rigid part of the frame, a bump on a curb cracks open the side tanks. I have not had a spectra fail yet, but I'm sure its just as vulnerable because the design is basically the same. It's the second new radiator I've put in the car this year, so here's hoping for tiny curbs and careful parking.

The TYC 622040 turned out to be a form fit functional replacement, both mechanically and electrically. It was a match for my 2008 Ford Edge SUV. I received the package in good time. I have a 2003 Acrua TL 3.2 L, There was no problem with it fitting on. The only thing that the manufacturer could do to improve the product to a 5 star is send the gasket with it. The only bump in the operation was having to go to the store and purchase a gasket. Worth the money so far, will report any problems if it wears quickly overtime (I doubt that it will).
