This radar detector mount is made of quality materials. I am using it on a 2013 BMW M6. The instructions indicated that it will not work on BMW's with front facing cameras. My vehicle has two front facing cameras (BMW Connected Drive) an it works fine.
The reason for the 4 stars is because I use a Parking Placard and it is impossible to attach any placard or parking permits, service tags or even garage parking tags. When you take your car in for service, they generally place a numbered tag behind the mirror. The mount is NOT easily removable without an allen wrench so it is not feasible to remove the mount at will. You don't want a parking tag or placard falling into the heads up display area if your car is so equipped.

I also purchased a different mount for $69 from Amazon (Rouge Mount) that I am using it on a different BMW, it has a narrow rotating stem where a parking or other permit/tags can be easily attached or removed. The Rouge mount is made of similar materials and the quality is also good but it has two screws to attach the mount to the mirror as opposed to one screw on the BlendMount.
I would definitely recommend the BlendMount if you have a newer BMW and if you do not use a parking placard, garage tag or service tag.
A little more thoughtfulness in the design would make this a 5 star product.
