I purchased this after looking at several different types, including Lafuma. I only have experience with this one, so I can't comment on how they compare. It came assembled and ready to use. The learning curve just to open the thing was tricky :), but it's not overly complicated, and once you do it a few times it's easy. Wood arm rests are good quality and overall fit and finish is excellent. Heavy and sturdy. This is not a portable chair by any means. It's meant for patio, car camping, and trips where the walk from the car to the spot you will sit is a short one. For my purposes (lounging on the back deck and car camping) it is everything I wanted.

Things of note:
- Heavy, in a good way, but not a portable way.
- Tricky to open/close until you get the hang of it.
- Meant for reclining. This will NOT be comfortable for sitting upright.
