I'm giving these 3 stars because while I hate them, my husband is very happy with them.The gray seat covers in my Jeep had faded to an almost violet color and were starting to show wear after barely over a year. Even so, I loved them because they were like a backpack fabric but almost slick, as though they had a Teflon coating or something -- very easy to turn or slide on (important if you're wearing a skirt). I wanted to order another pair, but it turns out they're no longer made. So, I read reviews on a couple of Jeep Wrangler forums, and I ended up ordering these. I really don't like them and I was going to send them back, but my husband does like them, so we put them in his Jeep.
He likes them because:
* They fit very well and were easy to put on.
* They seem to be well made (heavy fabric, strong seams, etc).
* The fabric is deep black and hasn't shown any signs of fading after one summer w/ the top down.
I hate them because:
* Due to the fabric texture & surface, they are hard to slide or turn on gracefully.
* The ribs make them harder to wipe off.
* They get too hot.
* They smelled funny at first.
FWIW, both our Jeeps are '06 LJs.
